Tax on your projects will be determined by the delivery or 'logistic' location.
Most States (and Provences) charge tax based off of where the items are being delivered to, but there are some States where the project will charge your Headquarters' tax. Goodshuffle Pro assigns sales tax rates based on tax boundaries rather than solely relying on ZIP code information. This ensures that tax rates align with the actual taxable jurisdiction of a venue. For example, in some regions, such as parts of Washington, a venue may fall outside a local jurisdiction's taxable area even if its ZIP code suggests otherwise. In such cases, only the state tax rate may be applied instead of a higher county or local tax rate.
You can learn more about Destination or Origin taxes here.
Taxes from projects will not appear in collected tax totals until the project is signed and paid. This is because no tax is considered collected until these conditions are met. Unsigned or unpaid projects are excluded from tax reports. To ensure the correct tax rates are applied to your projects in Goodshuffle Pro, follow these steps:
Navigate to your sales tax settings.
Enable the option to auto-apply tax to custom items.
Save your changes.
Recalculate taxes on the project to apply the updated settings.

FAQs
Why is my venue not assigned the expected local tax rate?
This may occur if the venue is outside the defined taxable jurisdiction, even if its ZIP code suggests otherwise. Goodshuffle Pro uses tax boundaries to determine applicable rates.
Why aren’t taxes appearing in my tax report?
Taxes will only appear in reports once the project is signed and paid. Ensure your project meets these conditions to include its taxes in reports.
