This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.

If you're using a Squarespace site and the categories button is getting blocked by your header, this is a very simple fix. You need to adjust how your header behaves when someone scrolls.

How to Fix the Header Blocking Categories (Squarespace)

  1. Open your Squarespace website.

  2. From pretty much any page on your site, click “Edit” in the top left.

  3. Click “Edit Site Header.”

  4. Click “Edit Design.”

Once you’re here:

  1. Leave “Fixed Position” turned on for your header.

  2. Change the Fixed Header Style from “Basic” to “Scroll Back.”

  3. Click “Save.”

What This Change Does

  • As your clients scroll down, the header will disappear.

  • As soon as they start scrolling back up, the header will pop back up.

  • This allows customers to navigate your site while keeping the header out of the way when browsing categories.

To see it in real time:

  • Scroll down → the header disappears.

  • Scroll back up → the header reappears.

Most importantly, when you go to the categories page now:

  • Scroll down just a little bit

  • You’ll be able to see all of your categories without the header blocking them
