How Can I Activate a Card Reader?

Learn how to activate your card reader and connect it to your Goodshuffle Pro account for in-person payments.

To access this feature, you must be on Goodshuffle Pro Standard or above.

Who Can Activate and Purchase Readers?

👉 Only account owners or admins can purchase new card readers.


First, please insert the battery into your reader, plug it in and turn it on. Then, connect it to the internet (Article).

Note: Your reader must be connected to a secure, password-protected WiFi network to successfully communicate with Goodshuffle Pro.

Steps to Activate Your Card Reader

  1. In your Goodshuffle Pro account, head to the “Card Readers” tab under “Finances.”

2. Click the “Activate Reader” button in the top-right corner of the screen.


3. If you have multiple store locations, you’ll be prompted to choose where to register your reader.

4. Follow the prompts in Goodshuffle Pro to enter the 3-word code displayed on your reader's screen. This links the reader to your account.

Once Activated

Once your reader is registered, it will appear in your Card Readers tab. You can return to this tab at any time to view or manage your connected readers.

In-person payments require an active WiFi connection

Note: Stripe Terminal readers have a one-year warranty. If you need to replace a reader more than a year after ordering, a new reader will need to be ordered.
