How to Set Up a Mexico (MX) Goodshuffle Pro Account

A step-by-step guide to setting up a Goodshuffle Pro account for a Mexico-based event business, from company info to linking a Mexican bank account with a CLABE.

Written by Sierra Burton

This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.

Setting up a Goodshuffle Pro account for a Mexico-based event business works a little differently than a US setup, mostly around currency and how you link your bank. This guide walks you through the whole thing, from creating the account to getting paid in pesos.

Step 1: Create the Account

If the business doesn't have a Goodshuffle Pro account yet, start there:

  • Go to pro.goodshuffle.com to start a free trial and create the account. Trials run 7 days on Goodshuffle Pro Lite and 14 days on Goodshuffle Pro Standard.

  • Enter the business name, contact name, email, and a password to get in.

Create Your Account

Add Payment Details from Your Account Invite Email

Mexican Account Setup

Complete or select "Do Later" for the following tabs:

  • Policies

  • Terms

  • Look & Feel

  • Invite Team

Step 2: Enter Your Company Info

Head to your Company tab to add your business details. Click "Enter Identity Verification Information" to do this.

For a Mexican account, a few fields matter more than usual:

  • Legal entity name: Enter your full registered business name, exactly as it appears on your bank and tax records (for example, RIVIERA DISEÑADORES KL SA DE CV).

  • RFC: Add your RFC (Registro Federal de Contribuyentes), Mexico's tax ID, in the tax identification field.

  • Mexican address: Enter your business address, including colonia, código postal (postal code), and estado (state), in Mexican format.

Step 3: Set Your Currency to Peso (MXN)

Choose Peso (MXN) as your account currency. This is an important choice, because your currency drives how pricing, quotes, and invoicing display to your clients. Once Peso is selected, amounts across your account show in pesos.

Goodshuffle Pro sends payouts to any Mexican bank account in MXN through Stripe/SPEI. Setting your currency to Peso keeps your pricing and your payouts aligned.

Step 4: Confirm the Currency of the Actual Bank Account

Before linking, check what currency the bank account is held in. Payouts always go out in MXN, so the account needs to be able to receive pesos:

  • If the account is MXN (peso) denominated, you're all set.

  • If the account is USD denominated, confirm with the bank that it can receive incoming MXN transfers, or use a peso-denominated account and CLABE instead.

Step 5: Link the Mexican Bank Account

Click "Add a Bank Account" from the yellow box,

Or click "Bank Info" and then "Add a Bank Account".

In the Link A Bank Account form, enter the following:

Field

What to Enter

Account Holder Name

Full legal entity name (e.g. RIVIERA DISEÑADORES KL SA DE CV)

Country

Mexico

Currency

Peso (MXN)

Account Type

Either option works

Step 6: Enter the CLABE

Once you select Mexico and Peso, the Account Number and Routing Number fields are replaced by a single CLABE field. A CLABE is an 18-digit number that Mexican banks use in place of routing and account numbers.

  • Enter the 18-digit CLABE, then enter it again in the confirmation field.

  • Example format: 002691061293883642

Step 7: Save and Verify

Save the form and confirm the account saves successfully. The micro-deposit verification used for US accounts doesn't apply to this manual CLABE entry, so there are no small test deposits to confirm here.

Don't See the CLABE Field?

If the CLABE field doesn't appear after you select Mexico and Peso, manual bank entry may not be turned on for the account yet. This isn't something you can enable on your own. Click the blue chat bubble to reach our support team and we'll get it enabled for you.
