This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.
Goodshuffle Pro allows you to apply discounts either before or after taxes, depending on how and where you apply them. Here’s a breakdown of the different options:
Option 1: Use a Discount as a Service
If your discount is set up as a “Service” in your Inventory:
✅ To apply the discount before tax: Make sure the discount service is taxed.
✅ To apply the discount after tax: Remove tax from the discount service.
📸 In the GIF above, the discount is taxed—so it will apply before tax. It also only applies to a single Line Item Group and excludes Services and Logistics by default. If you want the discount to apply across all Line Item Groups, consider editing it to a “Percent of Order” discount. You can customize exclusions as needed.
Option 2: Adjust Tax Settings on the Project
✅ To apply the discount before tax: Keep tax applied to the discount line item.
✅ To apply the discount after tax: Remove tax from the discount line item.
🔄 You can do this on a project by clicking “Edit” on the line item, then clicking "Remove" beneath the tax type.
Option 3: Use the “Add Discount” Button in a Project
When applying a discount using the “Add Discount” button in a project:
By default, the discount is applied before tax.
Click the “Apply after tax” link to change the behavior.
Want to reverse it? Click the “Apply before tax” link to switch back.
💡 Use this method for one-time, project-specific discounts that you want to quickly control.
