Goodshuffle Pro's inventory search now includes a third mode: AI Search. Powered by semantic search, it lets you find items based on meaning and context — not just exact keywords. This is especially useful when building themed events or searching for items you can't name precisely.
How AI Search Works
AI Search interprets the intent behind your query and surfaces relevant results even when the terminology doesn't match exactly.
Traditional search modes (Exact Match and Query) require you to know the specific words used in your item names and descriptions.
Example: Searching for "Ocean Party" can return:
Fish statues
Coral props
Wave-patterned linens
Turtle figurines
Seashell centerpieces
Blue and aqua drapery
What AI Search looks at:
AI Search matches your query against your own inventory — specifically each item's name, tags, attributes, and category. Results are unique to your account; the feature doesn't draw from other users' data or learn from your past searches.
Using AI Search
Navigate to your "Inventory" page.
Click the search bar and select "AI" from the search mode options.
Type a natural language query — a theme, concept, or description of what you're looking for - you can also upload an inspiration image!
Browse the results. Items are ranked by contextual relevance, not keyword match.
Leave feedback on results. After an AI Search, you'll see a thumbs up / thumbs down option below your results. Use this to let us know if the results matched what you were looking for — your feedback helps us improve the feature over time.
Tips for Better Results
Use descriptive phrases, not just single words. "Rustic wedding centerpieces" will return better results than "centerpiece."
Try themed queries like "Tropical birthday party" or "Black tie gala décor."
Use Exact Match if you're searching by item ID or need a precise result.
💡 Pro Tip: AI Search uses your item names, tags, attributes, and categories to find matches. The more complete those fields are across your inventory, the more accurate your results will be.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will AI Search learn my preferences over time? AI Search matches your query against your current inventory data — it doesn't track or factor in your past search history.
Does AI Search use data from other Goodshuffle Pro accounts? No. Results are generated entirely from your own inventory. What other event pros search for or commonly book has no effect on your results.
