If you don't have Terms and Conditions yet, you can start from a ready-made default template, preview the full text, and make it your own. It's a fast way to get a solid first draft in place so you can finish setting up and get back to your events.
Where You'll See the Template Option
The "Start from a template" option appears anywhere you can create Terms and Conditions from a blank state, including:
During setup, at the Terms and Conditions step
In Account Settings, under Policies and Taxes. Click "Create New" and "Use Template" to get started
On a project, when you add Terms and Conditions
The Default Template
Goodshuffle Pro provides one general-purpose default template built to cover the essentials most event businesses need, including payments, cancellations, damage, and liability. It gives you a solid starting point that you can then tailor to how you run your events.
Preview Before You Apply
You can preview the full template text before applying it, so you can read the whole thing and decide whether it matches how you run your events. Scroll to the bottom of the sample terms to apply the template.
You can apply the template by clicking the checkbox, "I understand that this is a starting template and that I am responsible for reviewing and customizing it for my business". Then click Apply Template to edit it.
Make It Your Own
When you apply the template, the full text drops into your Terms and Conditions editor, fully editable. From there you can:
Adjust any clause to match your payment, cancellation, and damage policies
Bold the parts you want clients to notice
Save it as your default so it applies to new events automatically
The template is a starting point, not a finish line. We recommend reading it through and tailoring it to your business, and having your attorney review it, before sending it to clients.
A Couple of Notes
The default template is available to event pros headquartered in the United States.
Already have terms? If you've already saved Terms and Conditions, you can use the template while editing to replace the existing terms. If you decide you do not want to use the template for your existing terms, press cancel in the editor to revert to your original terms.
