Apply a Discount to a Project
You can apply a discount to the entire project directly from the bottom-right corner of your project screen.
Scroll to the bottom-right of your project.
Click “Add Discount”.
Enter either:
A percentage (e.g., 20%)
A flat dollar amount (e.g., $50.00)4. By default, the discount applies before tax. If you want it to apply after tax, click “Apply after tax”. You can toggle this setting back and forth by clicking the link again.
Applying Fixed Dollar Discounts to Items or Rates
To apply a fixed dollar discount to a specific item or rate:
Open the item or rate within your project.
Click “Override” (or the option to override the current rate).
Enter the dollar discount amount.
Review the overall price/total to ensure it reflects the intended discount before saving.
The discount will automatically be applied to the project total.
Tips for Reviewing Discounts
Always double-check the discount amount and its application (before or after tax) to ensure accuracy.
Review the total project cost or item rate after applying the discount to confirm it aligns with your expectations.
