Troubleshooting Google Calendar Sync Issues

Synchronizing Google Calendar with Goodshuffle Pro can be incredibly useful for keeping track of events and project timelines. However, syncing issues may arise. Below, you'll find a detailed troubleshooting guide to address common problems:

Common Causes of Syncing Issues

Before diving into troubleshooting, it’s helpful to understand some common reasons why events might not appear on your Goodshuffle Pro calendar after syncing with Google Calendar:

  • The event date is not added to your project in Goodshuffle.

  • The incorrect calendar type (Company or My Project) is being synced.

  • Calendar settings are not configured to display the desired information (e.g., 'Events start/end' or 'Logistics').

  • The integration requires a re-sync due to connectivity issues.

  1. Verify Event Dates in Goodshuffle

    • Ensure that the event date is added to your project in Goodshuffle. Events without dates will not sync to your calendar.

  2. Check Calendar Type

    • Confirm whether you are syncing the correct calendar type:

      • Company Calendar: Displays all projects.

      • My Project Calendar: Displays only projects assigned to you.

  3. Adjust Calendar Settings

    • Ensure that your calendar settings are configured to display the desired information:

      • Select 'Events start/end' if you want to see event dates.

      • Select 'Logistics' if you want to see logistical details.

  4. Re-Sync the Integration

    • If events still don’t appear, unsubscribe from all Goodshuffle calendars in your Google Calendar.

    • Disconnect the integration between Goodshuffle and Google Calendar.

    • Reconnect the integration and manually click the sync button in Goodshuffle.

  5. Remove and Re-Add Goodshuffle Calendars

    • If the issue persists, permanently remove the Goodshuffle calendars from Google Calendar.

    • Re-add the integration to force a complete re-sync.

  6. Adjust Sync Preferences

    • If you prefer to see only event dates and not logistics, update your calendar sync settings accordingly.

Additional Tips

  • Always ensure you are using the latest version of Goodshuffle and Google Calendar.

  • Check your internet connection, as syncing requires a stable connection.
