This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.
As you build a contract, quantities often shift — a client adds a few extra chairs, drops a centerpiece, or changes their guest count. Instead of opening the full edit panel for every quantity change, you can update a line item's quantity directly from the contract view.
How to Edit a Line Item Quantity Inline
Open your project and scroll to the Line Item Group containing the item you want to update.
Click directly on the quantity field of the line item.
Type the new quantity.
Click outside the field or press Enter to save your change.
The new quantity is saved immediately — no need to open the edit panel or click a separate save button.
When to Use Inline Quantity Editing
Inline editing is ideal when you're refining a single line item at a time. It's especially useful during the quoting phase, when quantities are still in flux and you need to iterate quickly while reviewing the contract.
If you need to update quantities on several line items at once, use the Bulk Edit Line Items modal instead — see How to Bulk Edit Quantities on Multiple Line Items.
Things to Know
Inline quantity editing follows the same validation rules as the full edit panel — quantities must be numeric and meet any minimum value requirements.
Inline editing is available on all line item types that support quantity editing in the edit panel.
If an item has an availability conflict at the new quantity, you'll see the same conflict indicator you'd see in the edit panel. You can still save the change and resolve the conflict from the Fulfillment tab.
