Here's why Stripe needs to know your SSN or your DOB.

As part of the 'Know Your Customer' regulations, we need to collect the following information from you in order to verify your account with Stripe:

Full SSN/ SIN
Date of Birth
Tax EIN

Data security is of the utmost importance to us and as such you Account information will never touch our servers and will instead be passed directly and securely on to Stripe.

You can add this information by completing each item in the first two tabs of your Account.
