  • How to Pass Fees in a Payment Policy

    • Create a payment policy from a project or the Policies and Taxes Tab.

    • When creating or editing the policy, check the box to pass “Credit Card” fees, “ACH” fees, or both.

    • Strategies include absorbing the fees through pricing, passing them on directly, or encouraging low-cost payment types (like ACH) to reduce your costs.

⚠️ WARNING: In some jurisdictions, passing processing fees to clients is prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to comply with local regulations.

Overview of Payment Processing in Goodshuffle Pro

Goodshuffle Pro integrates with Stripe to offer seamless online payments. You can customize how processing fees are handled based on your business strategy:

  • If you pass the fee, the client pays it, and you’re not charged.

  • If you leave the option unchecked, you absorb the fee.

  • Some vendors encourage ACH for large transactions to reduce fees.

Compliance and Regulatory Considerations

To stay compliant:

  • Disclose fees clearly as “processing” or “convenience” fees.

  • Use consistent fee structures for all card types.

  • Follow local laws and card network rules.

Clear practices protect both your business and your clients.
