How Can I Mark Taxed Items on My Invoices?

Show which items are taxed on your quotes and invoices using the Line Item Tax Indicator.

Why Use the Line Item Tax Indicator?

If you want to clearly display which items on a project are taxed, you can use the Line Item Tax Indicator to make this distinction visible on both client-facing contracts and internal documents.

This helps with:

  • Transparency for clients

  • Internal review and auditing

  • Quick tax validation before sending invoices


To make it clear which items on a project are taxed, first click 'Settings' on the Project.

Then, click Contract Settings and select to Show the Line Item Tax Indicator:

Finally, on your projects, your taxed item will be clearly shown:

If you'd like to set this as a default, you (or your account owner) can adjust it from your Account Settings.


You can also choose to show this marker when printing your documents, too:
