What Is an Online Payment?

An Online Payment is any payment processed through our integrated payment processor, Stripe.

  • Funds are securely transferred directly from your client to your business account.

  • Payment records are automatically updated in Goodshuffle Pro.

  • Examples: Credit or Debit card payments through quote or invoice links.

What Is an Offline Payment?

An Offline Payment is any payment method that takes place outside of Stripe.

  • Examples include cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or bank transfer.

  • No actual funds are moved through the system.

  • Offline payments serve as a record to track what you’ve received externally.

How Do Offline Refunds Work?

If a client paid via an Offline method, refunds also need to be handled outside of Goodshuffle Pro. When you issue an Offline Refund:

  • No money is transferred through Stripe.

  • You’re simply marking the refund in the system to match what you’ve done outside (e.g., returned cash or issued a check).
