Will Stripe re-route a refund to a client's active credit card?

Here's what Stripe will do if a client's credit card number has changed and a refund has been processed.

In most cases, the bank will redirect the refund to your customer’s new or replacement card. If your customer does not have a new card, the bank will usually send the refund directly to their bank account.

If neither of those options are available, the bank will return the money to Stripe and we will contact you via the chat for further action.
