This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.
What is a Tag?
A tag is a keyword or term you assign to an inventory item or service. Tags help you categorize, organize, and search your inventory more efficiently within Goodshuffle Pro.
Why Use Tags?
Using tags can help you:
Filter and search your inventory faster
Group similar items by event type, collection, or use case (e.g., “wedding”, “casino”, “outdoor”)
Simplify website Wishlist setup and improve client experience when browsing inventory on your website
Save time locating items for quotes and projects
How to Add Tags
Adding tags to your inventory items is simple. When creating or editing an item, you will see a field labeled "Tags." Simply enter the desired tags, pressing enter after each tag. For example, if you have a table that can be used for both weddings and corporate events, you could add the tags "wedding" and "corporate" to that item:
Best Practices for Using Tags
How to Use Tags to Find Items and Services
Tags are useful for searching for specific items and services on Goodshuffle Pro. They allow you to quickly narrow your search results and find exactly what you need for your event. In this article, we will explain how to use tags to search for collections and event types and how to integrate them with your website.
Searching for Collections and Event Types
Tags can be used to search for collections and event types on Goodshuffle Pro. For example, if you are looking for items typically used for a casino event, you can simply search for the "Casino" tag, or filter by the tag in your Inventory. This will bring up all items tagged with "Casino", making it easier to find what you need:
You can use the same method to search for event types. For instance, if you are planning a wedding and need to find items typically used for weddings, you can search for the "Wedding" tag. This will bring up all items tagged with "Wedding", making it easier to find the perfect items for your special day.
Integrating with Your Website Wishlist
In addition to searching for collections and event types, tags can be used to showcase a collection of items on your Website using the Goodshuffle Pro Website Integration. This allows your clients to quickly find and add items to their Wishlist. Wishlist submissions automatically create a project in your account with the requested items, making it easier to keep track of everything you need for their event.
To use tags for the Website Integration, simply tag the item or service with the appropriate tag. Then, when you are on your Website Wishlist page, you can use the search bar for the tag. This will bring up all items and services tagged with that specific tag.
Are Tags Case Sensitive?
When you are searching within Goodshuffle Pro, tags are not case sensitive.
However, it is best practice to be consistent with anything involving computer code, so we recommend trying to be consistent with your tags for the purposes of the Wishlist Integration, which includes being mindful of cases.
