Why Doesn’t the Price of My Services Change When I Add Another Discount or Service?

Here’s why services or discounts priced by a percent of the order or line item group may not adjust when other fees or discounts are applied.

This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.

If you have multiple services and/or discounts on a project—and they are all set to calculate as a percentage—they will intentionally ignore each other.

This is to prevent a never-ending loop. For example:

  • Discount A is 10% of the order total

  • Service B is 5% of the same order total

If both tried to recalculate based on each other, the total would keep shifting:
One updates, the other responds, and so on—causing an endless cycle.
