You can customize how discounts and service fees are applied to projects by excluding logistics, services, or items. This can be applied to "Percent of Line Item Group" and "Percent of Order" pricing structures.

Excluding logistics, services, or items from discounts or service fees

We'll use an existing Damage Waiver as an example. Follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Navigate to the "Inventory" tab

  2. Search for the discount or service fee, click on it, and then click the pencil icon to edit it

  3. Under "Basics", navigate to the "Pricing Structure" options

    1. Select "Percent of Line Item Group" or "Percent of Order"

  4. Choose one or more of the following:

    1. Exclude Services

    2. Exclude Logistics

    3. Exclude Items (Products, Packages & Pools)

The final step is to add this Damage Waiver to a project. In this example, you'll notice that this Damage Waiver only applies to Rental Items on the project, excluding Services and Logistics from the total.

Click the following links to learn how to create new Discounts and Services.

Here are examples of how this can apply to "Percent of Order" pricing structures:

  1. VIP Discounts on Products (Rental Items) Only: Offer exclusive discounts that apply solely to products, leaving out delivery or service fees.

  2. Damage Waivers Based on Physical Goods: Charge damage waivers based only on the physical goods or rental items received, without factoring in setup or logistics fees. This ensures that customers only pay for potential damages to the items, not the other services.

  3. Overtime Fees for Services, Excluding Rental Items: Apply overtime fees specifically to services like DJs or photographers, ensuring the calculation does not include rental items. This allows you to accurately bill for the additional time your services are rendered without confusing the costs with rental fees.

Here are examples of how this can apply to "Percent of Line Item Group" pricing structures:

  1. Overtime for DJs Only: Charge overtime for DJs, but not for photobooth technicians or the DJ's gear.

  2. Discounts on Ceremony Items Only: Offer discounts for items used in a ceremony space, excluding the setup fee.

  3. Damage Waivers for Outdoor Products Only: Charge a damage waiver for products set up outside, excluding fees for setup services.
