What is ViCoverage and how are claims initiated?

What is ViCoverage?

ViCoverage delivers customized and simple insurance products to make coverage easier on all of life’s purchases. ViCoverage is powered by Vertical Insure, an embedded insurance platform that partners with platforms and organizations to add personalized ViCoverage insurance products during the checkout process.

If you’ve already purchased a policy from ViCoverage, you can access your policy details through our Customer Portal at customers.verticalinsure.com. To create a new account, click “Create Account” and fill out the form using the email address associated with your policy (this email address will also be listed in your confirmation email from ViCoverage and is the email address used during checkout). After you’re signed in, you will see a list of your active policies and the option to view details or file a claim.

How are claims initiated?

Policyholders can visit the ViCoverage Customer Portal and login or create an account with the email address associated with their policy. Once logged in, the policyholder can see policy details and the instructions on how to submit a claim.

What is needed to file a claim?

When submitting a claim, the policyholder will be required to provide documentation to support a claim. Depending on the situation of the claim and the policy, the required documentation will vary.

For Event Host Liability, you can expect to provide the following:

  • Certificate Number

  • Contact information

  • Event Information (event date, description and location)

  • Claim Information

    • Date/time of Loss

    • Description and Details of Incident

    • Location of Incident

    • Estimated Cost of Damage

    • Photographs and Documentation

    • etc.
