How Do I Assign Roles to Crew Members on a Route?

Assigning roles to crew members on a Route in Goodshuffle Pro helps ensure the right people show up at the right place, with the right expectations.

You can assign Full or Limited Users to specific Routes (and Waypoints!), designate their role (like Driver or Crew Member), and optionally add custom instructions or a time window.

Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Open the Route

  1. Navigate to the Route Planner or click on any routed logistic from a project.

  2. Locate the route you want to assign crew members to.

  3. Click 👥 Crew” or "Assign Crew" located at the top right of the Route to open the "Manage Crew" Panel.

You can also click the “Pencil” icon to manage your crew from the Route Detail Panel.

  1. Click the “Pencil” icon on the route.

  2. Scroll down and click “Manage Crew.”

Step 2: Assign a Crew Member

From the "Manage Crew" Panel, select any available user (highlighted in green), which indicates they are not currently assigned to another route at that time.

🔐 Note: You can assign any active Full or Limited User.

Step 3: Choose Their Role

  1. Select a role from the dropdown (e.g., Driver or Crew Member).

The assigned team member will receive an email notification with:

  • Project name

  • Route or Waypoint

  • Role and time details

They’ll also see their assignments under “My Routes” in the “Dispatch” tab.
