This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.
What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security feature that requires you to provide two forms of verification when logging in:
Something you know – Your password.
Something you have – A temporary code from an authentication app or sent to your email.
This helps prevent unauthorized access, even if someone has your password.
Why am I being required to set this up?
If your business has processed $50,000 or more in online payments, two-factor authentication (2FA) is required for Admins and Account Owners. This is part of our commitment to keeping your financial data and client information secure.
2FA helps prevent unauthorized access to your account—even if someone gets hold of your password.
🔐The extra step goes a long way in protecting your business!
How do I enroll in 2FA from my dashboard?
From your Dashboard, click “Account” in the left-hand menu.
In the My Account panel, choose “Security”.
Click the “Enable Two-Factor Authentication” button.
Download an authentication app (like Google Authenticator).
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
How do I enroll in 2FA from my mandatory-enabled account?
Go to https://pro.goodshuffle.com and log in with your email and password.
On the next screen, you'll be prompted to set up two-factor authentication.
Click “Set Up Two-Factor Authentication.”
Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) and scan the QR code shown on the screen.
Make sure the email address in your authenticator app matches the email address you use to log into Goodshuffle Pro.
Enter the 6-digit verification code from the app into your Goodshuffle Pro account.
Click “Verify Code.”
Important: You’ll be shown a recovery code—save this code in a secure place. You’ll need it if you ever lose access to your device.
Confirm that you’ve saved the recovery code.
Click “Continue” to complete setup and log into your account
Once complete, you’ll be securely logged in and redirected to your Goodshuffle Pro Dashboard.
What if multiple people use the same login?
Sharing a single login—especially the Account Owner’s—is not supported and can lead to access issues.
👉 When multiple users try to sign in with the same credentials, only one person will receive the two-factor authentication (2FA) code, which can lock others out and disrupt your workflow.
To keep your account secure and ensure everyone has proper access:
Each team member should have their own unique login.
Admins can easily invite teammates and assign roles directly in the system.

Can I disable 2FA later?
Not if your business processes $50,000 or more in online payments. For security and compliance, 2FA is required for Admins and Account Owners at this payment volume and cannot be turned off.

What if I lose access to my authentication method?
If you lose your phone or email access and cannot retrieve your 2FA code, reach out to our support team via the blue chat bubble. We’ll verify your identity and help you regain access.
⚠️ Make sure to store your backup codes somewhere safe if they are provided during setup!
What if I lost my master code for the authenticator app?
If you no longer have access to the QR code or secret key you used to set up your authenticator app, and you're locked out of your account, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Click the blue chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of your screen to contact our support team. We'll verify your identity by confirming your driver's license over a secure screen share.
🛑 For your security, we can only reset 2FA after successfully verifying account ownership.
Can I use any authentication app?
Yes! Goodshuffle Pro supports time-based one-time password (TOTP) apps such as:
Google Authenticator
Authy
Microsoft Authenticator
These apps generate a new secure code every 30 seconds.

Can I save the 2FA code for 30 days?
Yes, you can—on trusted devices.
If you're logging into Goodshuffle Pro from a secure device (like your personal home or office computer), you can choose to trust that device for 30 days, which means you won’t need to enter your 2FA code each time you log in.
When prompted for your authentication code:
Enter the 6-digit code from your app or email.
Check the box that says “Trust this device for 30 days.”
Complete your login.
⚠️ We strongly recommend you do not trust any public or shared devices. Only enable this option on private, secure computers that you control.
