What is 2FA and why is it required?
Two-factor authentication adds a second step to your login — after your password, you're asked for a temporary code from your phone. Even if someone gets your password, they can't log in without that code.
If your business has processed $50,000 or more in online payments, 2FA is required for Account Owners and Admins. This protects your financial data and client records.
How do I set up 2FA?
See the help article, How to Set Up 2FA with an Authenticator App, for the full walkthrough. The short version from your Account Settings:
Download Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone
Go to Account → Security → Enroll in 2FA
Scan the QR code with your app
Enter the 6-digit code (no spaces)
Save your 16-digit recovery code somewhere secure
Here is how you can set up 2FA when prompted at Login
Go to https://pro.goodshuffle.com and log in with your email and password.
On the next screen, you'll be prompted to set up two-factor authentication.
Click “Set Up Two-Factor Authentication.”
Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) and scan the QR code shown on the screen.
Make sure the email address in your authenticator app matches the email address you use to log into Goodshuffle Pro.
Enter the 6-digit verification code from the app into your Goodshuffle Pro account.
Click “Verify Code.”
If scanning the QR code is inconvenient, use the copy-key option to manually set up 2FA in your authenticator app. This method works across desktop and mobile devices.
Important: You’ll be shown a recovery code—save this code in a secure place. You’ll need it if you ever lose access to your device.
Confirm that you’ve saved the recovery code.
Click “Continue” to complete setup and log into your account
Once complete, you’ll be securely logged in and redirected to your Goodshuffle Pro Dashboard.
I just got a new phone - how do I transfer my 2FA?
If you still have your old phone:
Authy: Enable multi-device in Authy settings, install Authy on your new phone, and add it before deactivating the old device.
Google Authenticator: Open the app on your old phone → tap three dots → Transfer accounts → Export accounts → scan the QR code with your new phone.
If you no longer have your old phone:
Use your 16-digit recovery code to log in. This will clear your old 2FA setup, and you can enroll fresh. See the help article, Manage 2FA Recovery & Setup, for the full recovery walkthrough.
⚠️ No phone and no recovery code?
Contact our support team via the blue chat bubble. We'll verify your identity via a secure screen share using your driver's license.
What if multiple people share the same login?
Shared logins don't work with 2FA. When multiple people try to log in with the same credentials, only one person receives the 2FA code — everyone else gets locked out.
The fix: each team member needs their own login. Account Owners and Admins can invite teammates from Account Settings → Users. For temporary access needs, consider adding a monthly seat and deactivating it when no longer needed.
See the help article, Managing 2FA for Your Team, for full guidance on setting up 2FA for your team.

Can I skip entering my code every day? (Trust this device)
Yes. When prompted for your 2FA code on a device you trust, check the box that says "Trust this device for 30 days" before submitting. You won't need to enter a code again on that browser for 30 days.
⚠️ Only use this on a private, secure device you control
Never check this box on a shared, public, or work computer that others can access.
🔄 The 30-day trust resets when:
The 30 days expire
You clear your browser's cookies or cache
You switch to a different browser on the same computer
You use a private/incognito browsing window
Why isn't my code working?
Check for spaces
If your app shows "123 456", enter it as "123456". Spaces cause the code to fail.
Your device time may be out of sync
2FA codes are time-based. Both your phone and your computer need to be set to the correct time. Enable automatic time on both devices:
iPhone: Settings → General → Date & Time → Set Automatically
Android: Settings → System → Date & Time → Set time automatically
Setup conflict across multiple devices
If the 2FA setup screen appeared on more than one device, log out of all devices by visiting pro.goodshuffle.com/app/logout on each one, then set up 2FA fresh.
You may be looking in the wrong place for your code
If you scanned the QR code using your phone's regular camera (not the authenticator app), your code may have been saved in your phone's built-in password manager instead:
iPhone: Settings → Passwords → search for Goodshuffle Pro → look for a "Code" section
Android: Settings → Google → Password Manager, or visit passwords.google.com
I have multiple Goodshuffle Pro codes in my authenticator app
If you’ve registered 2FA more than once, your authenticator app (like Google Authenticator) may show multiple Goodshuffle Pro codes. Only one of these codes will work with your current 2FA registration.
Here’s how to identify and keep the correct code:
Open your authenticator app and take note of the GSP codes listed.
Open an incognito window in your browser.
In Chrome: Click the three-dot menu → Select “New Incognito Window”
Try each GSP code one at a time to log in.
Delete all other codes from your app once you find the one that works.
⚠️ You only need your 16-digit recovery code if you lose access to your authenticator app.
My recovery code isn't working
Recovery codes are single-use. Once a code is used, it expires immediately. If your code isn't working:
Confirm it hasn't already been used
Enter all 16 characters with the dashes: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
If it's already been used, your Account Owner can generate a new one for you
Can I get a new recovery code?
Account Owners can generate a new backup code for any team member (but not themselves) from Subscriptions → three dots next to user → Generate Backup Code
If you're the Account Owner and lost your own recovery code, contact support via the blue chat bubble
What authentication apps are supported?
Goodshuffle Pro supports any TOTP (time-based one-time password) app, including:
Google Authenticator
Authy
Microsoft Authenticator
Apple's built-in Passwords app (iOS 17+)

Can I disable 2FA?
Not if your business processes $50,000 or more in online payments. For security and compliance, 2FA is required for Admins and Account Owners at this payment volume and cannot be turned off.

How do I contact support for a manual reset?
If you're completely locked out — no phone, no recovery code — our support team can help. Click the blue chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
We'll verify your identity via a secure screen share using your driver's license. We can only complete a reset after successful identity verification.
🛑 We cannot reset 2FA without verifying account ownership
This protects you in case someone else is trying to access your account.
