How Can I Generate a New Recovery Code for a Member of My Team?

If a teammate is locked out due to lost two-factor access, here's how to help them regain entry.

⚠️ Note: Only Account Owners can generate a new recovery code.

If someone on your team is unable to log in with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and no longer has access to their original recovery code, you can generate a new one for them.


How to Generate a Recovery Code

  1. Go to your Subscriptions tab under Account Settings.

  2. Locate the teammate's seat under Full User Seats or Monthly Seats.

  3. Click the three dots to the right of their name.

  4. Select “Generate Backup Code.”

You’ll then see a screen with their new recovery code:

Make sure your teammate saves this code securely. It will only work if used before 2FA is reset or changed.
