How Can I Offer My Clients Gift Cards?

Here's how you can offer your clients a gift card and apply it to a project for them in the future.

Sending the Gift Card

  1. Create a new project for the client who will be paying for the gift card.

    • You can add a service item to your inventory for “Gift Cards” to track usage and revenue.

  2. Set specific terms and conditions for gift card projects.(Learn more)

  3. Send the quote for signature or mark the project as signed manually to generate an invoice.(Learn More)

Suggestions for setup:

  • Hide the cancellation policy → (Learn More)

  • Require 100% upfront payment

Applying the Gift Card

  1. Create a new project for the client who will be using the gift card.

  2. Apply their $100 Offline Payment to this project.(Learn More)

  3. If you're offering a deal like “Pay 100, get 120,” add a 20% Line Item discount (using a specialty item like a Holiday Gift Card). (Learn More)

  4. Use placeholder dates (such as a weekday in the off-season) to avoid affecting real availability. You can adjust the date later.

To track these projects:

  • Look up the “Gift Card” service in your inventory.

  • Filter by date or follow up with clients who haven’t booked yet.
