ACH Direct Debit transactions can fail any time after the payment is initiated. These failures can occur for a number of reasons, such as:

  • Insufficient funds

  • An invalid account number

  • A customer disabling debits from their bank account

If a client's payment fails, the payment is not retried and you will receive an email notification with all the necessary details. As a note, there are no fees for failed payments!
