If you have items with serial numbers or other unique attributes that don’t matter to the customer, you’ll want to create a pool. This allows those items to be grouped together as if they are one item on a contract, but can be managed individually in fulfillment.
The quantity available for a Pool item depends on the sum total of the Pool "Members" available in your Inventory.
For example, say you have a Pool of "Power Amp² Silent Disco Headphones". This pool contains 10 "Members" of the same headphones, and each member has 1 headphone. This means 10 individual headphones with different serial numbers are available at any given time. See the GIF below of what this looks like in Inventory.
When this Pool is added to a project, the Goodshuffle Pro adds the number of headphones from its "Members" to the Project. If you click into a Pool "Member," you'll see the serial number associated with that item listed.
If another client requests more headphones than what is available within the same date range, a potential conflict will appear next to the Pool Members on the project. You can click on the hollow stop sign to view which projects are flagging this potential conflict.
From here, you can mark the item as a subrental in the "Fulfillment" tab (as seen below) or purchase more headphones and add them to the Pool in your inventory.
