Advanced Inventory is a powerful set of tools designed to improve your fulfillment workflows, boost team accountability, and save time. Below are the most common questions we hear from vendors getting started.

Barcoding Basics

What type of barcodes does Goodshuffle Pro support?
Goodshuffle Pro uses system-generated QR codes.

Do I have to use Goodshuffle-generated barcodes?
Yes. These codes are required for full barcode functionality.

Do I need special hardware to scan?
No. Any mobile device with a camera will work.

Can I scan multiple barcodes at once?
Yes. The scanner captures all barcodes visible within the camera frame.

Barcode Creation & Label Printing

How do I generate a barcode for an item?
Barcodes are generated from the Inventory List View and can be printed or saved.

Can I link an item to a barcode from my phone?
Yes. Use Mobile Fulfillment to scan and link on the go.

What printers are supported?
Standard desktop printers and supported label printers (like Zebra ZD411) work well.

Can I customize label formatting or size?
Basic customization options are available for size and layout.

Can I print multiple labels at once?
Yes. You can batch-print barcodes for multiple items.

Rapid Scanning (Advanced Inventory Add-On)

What is Rapid Scanning?
A tap-free, continuous scanning mode that speeds up fulfillment.

How does it confirm a scan?
You’ll hear a beep and see a green outline.

What happens if I scan the wrong item?
The system flags the mismatch immediately.

What about duplicate scans?
You’ll be notified if an item has already been scanned.

Is Rapid Scanning part of Advanced Inventory?
Yes. It’s included in the paid add-on.

Mobile Digital Pull Sheet

What is the Mobile Digital Pull Sheet?
It’s a mobile-friendly version of your Pull Sheet and Check-In views, designed for fast, easy access on phones and tablets.

What can I do with it?
You can:

  • View project-specific Fulfillment Notes and Logistics

  • Track item statuses by stage (Pulled, Prepped, Loaded)

  • See Check-In and Set Aside totals

  • Group items by Line Item Group or Category

  • Tap items to update status (if eligible)

  • Return to the top of the list with one tap

Can I update the item status from my phone?
Yes! Inventory items can be updated.

How are items grouped?
You can toggle between Line Item Group or Category views—use whichever helps

your team stay organized.

What’s the difference between “Pull Sheet” and “Check In” views?

  • Pull Sheet View: For pulling, prepping, and loading inventory (shows Fulfillment statuses)

  • Check In View: For returning items to inventory (shows Check-In and Set Aside statuses)

Do I need internet access?
Yes. The Mobile Digital Pull Sheet requires an internet connection for real-time syncing and updates.

Set Asides

What is Auto Set-Aside? (Advanced Inventory Add-On)
A feature that automatically sets items aside after an event if they haven’t been checked in—based on your configured buffer time. Helpful for cleaning, repair, or late returns.

Can I manually set aside items? (Advanced Inventory Add-On)
Yes. Use barcode scanning or manually mark items in the Set Asides tab.

Fulfillment Workflow

Do Rapid Scan results sync to Digital Pull Sheets?
Yes. Scans update fulfillment stages in real time.

Can I still manually override?
Absolutely. You can manually adjust statuses where needed.

Does the system support partial quantities?
Yes. For example, you can show “2 of 5 Pulled” and continue scanning the rest later.

Which stages are updated by scanning?
Whatever your team has configured in your Fulfillment settings.

Inventory Behavior

Does barcoding replace manual workflows?
No. It enhances accuracy, but manual actions are still supported.

Does it work with pools and kits?
Yes. Barcode logic works with pools and follows the same fulfillment behavior you're used to.

How do I turn barcoding on for a limited user?
You don’t need to! Limited users automatically have access to barcoding, Inventory ID scanning, the Modern Fulfillment Home, and digital pull sheets — all at no extra charge, even if they’re using a free limited seat.

However, Advanced Inventory must be enabled on your account for limited users to access features like Auto-Set Asides, Rapid Scanning, and Manual Overrides.

Keep in mind: Limited users will only see inventory details they already have access to in Goodshuffle Pro — they won’t see pricing or other restricted fields.

Troubleshooting

Why isn’t my camera scanning?
Make sure:

  • Lighting is sufficient

  • Your camera lens is clean

  • Your browser or app has camera access enabled

Why isn’t a scan recognized?
The barcode may be:

  • Damaged

  • Not linked to an item

  • Linked to a different item type

Can I rescan or undo an incorrect scan?
Yes. Use the Review Scan screen to Cancel, Approve, or Collapse scans.
