This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.

Option 1: Cancel Without Keeping Payments

If no payments were made (or you’re not keeping any payments):

  1. Open the project.

  2. Click the project’s status at the top.

  3. Select Lost.

⚠️ Best Practice: Remove any pre-authorized payments first to avoid accidental charges if the client later decides to move forward.

When clients try to open a Lost project, they’ll be notified that the event has been canceled.

Option 2: Cancel but Keep Payments (e.g., Deposit)

If you’re retaining a deposit or partial payment:

  1. Leave the project as Signed.

  2. Apply a Discount Service from your inventory.

    • Name it something like “Cancelled Project”.

    • Apply it to the remaining balance.

This lets you:

  • Track how much has been discounted across projects.

  • Keep a signed record of the project.

Optional: Add Internal Notes

For easier tracking and filtering later, add an Internal Note with a label such as “Lost” or “Cancelled”. This way, you can easily sort and filter your projects by their Internal Notes.

Note: If you have the QuickBooks Online integration active, it will Void the invoice in QuickBooks (Article).
