How do Custom Stops work?

Here is how you can add and edit Custom Stops in Routes within Dispatch.

Custom Stops are a powerful tool for adding flexibility to your routes without compromising efficiency. Whether it’s a lunch break, fuel stop, or equipment pickup, Custom Stops ensures your schedule stays aligned, helping drivers maintain optimal timing and stay on track.

Full Users can add Custom Stops to existing routes under the 'Route Planner' in 'Dispatch'. Follow the steps below to get started.

How to create a Custom Stop

  1. Navigate to the 'Route Planner' under 'Dispatch'

  2. Find the route where you want to add a Custom Stop

  3. Click the 'Custom' tab on the lower left-side menu and select 'Create'

  4. Type in a Name for the stop, add the exact street address, and select the Google suggested option to match the street address

  5. Select an 'Arrival' and 'Departure' time for this Custom Stop

  6. If needed, add a note (e.g., list the type of gas needed for a fuel stop) and then click 'Create Custom Stop'

How to add a Custom Stop to an existing Route

  1. Click the 'Custom' tab on the lower left-side menu and scroll to find the Custom Stop you created

  2. Drag and drop the Custom Stop into an existing route based on the time you want the Custom Stop to take place

You can hover over the Custom Stop in the Route to view additional details, such as the 'Arrival' time, 'Departure' time, and 'Time on site'.

How to edit a Custom Stop in an existing Route

You can change the details for a Custom Stop by clicking the gear '⚙️' icon at the top right of the stop. You can also click to extend the visual for the Custom Stop by holding down your cursor and dragging the route left or right.

Once you have clicked the gear '⚙️' symbol,

  1. Click the pencil icon to edit the details for the Custom Stop

  2. Click 'Save' to save the changes
