Adding food or gas stops along your route is simple with the Route Planner. All you need to do is add a Custom Stop. You can learn more about Custom Stops here.

Step 1: Open the Route Planner

  1. Click on the Dispatch Icon.

  2. Select Route Planner from the menu.

Step 2: Select and Add Your Stop

You can create custom stops along your route for gas, lunch, or other needs.

Navigate to the Custom Stop Tab:

  1. Navigate to the 'Route Planner' under 'Dispatch'

  2. Find the route where you want to add a Custom Stop

  3. Click the 'Custom' tab on the lower left-side menu and select 'Create'

  4. Type in a Name for the stop, add the exact street address, and select the Google suggested option to match the street address

  5. Select an 'Arrival' and 'Departure' time for this Custom Stop

  6. If needed, add a note (e.g., list the type of gas needed for a fuel stop) and then click 'Create Custom Stop'

Step 3: Add your stop to your route

  1. Click the 'Custom' tab on the lower left-side menu and scroll to find the Custom Stop you created

  2. Drag and drop the Custom Stop into an existing route based on the time you want the Custom Stop to take place

You can hover over the Custom Stop in the Route to view additional details, such as the 'Arrival' time, 'Departure' time, and 'Time on site'.

Step 4: Utilize Your Updated Route

Your updated route, now including the food or gas stop, will be ready to use. Dispatchers and drivers can view and follow the optimized itinerary with ease by viewing the Route in My Routes.
