Dispatch Feature Overview

Goodshuffle Pro’s Dispatch feature helps event businesses confidently plan and manage deliveries and pickups across multiple vehicles. It keeps pace with your fast-moving business, making it easy to adjust routes, shift schedules, and update details in seconds so you can save time, reduce errors, and stay in control.

Below is a list of common terms used in the Dispatch Feature.

Waypoint

A specific location a vehicle needs to:

  • Depart from

  • Arrive at

  • Drive through

Types of Waypoints:

  1. Project Logistics: Automatically generated from your projects and appear as Unassigned Waypoints

  2. Custom Waypoints: Manually created for ad hoc stops, such as trips to Home Depot, gas stations, or lunch breaks

  3. Unassigned Waypoints: Waypoints that have not yet been added to a specific Route. These can be:

    1. Route: a collection of Waypoints that begins and ends at a vendor’s warehouse

    2. Vehicle: a new Inventory Type in Goodshuffle Pro representing the trucks or other transportation assets used for deliveries.

    3. Driver: the individual responsible for operating a Vehicle and executing a Route

  • View all Unassigned Waypoints

  • Drag and drop Waypoints onto Routes

  • Assign Vehicles and Drivers

  • Use an interactive map to optimize routes

Interactive Map

  • Visualize Waypoints and Routes

  • Plan the most efficient routes based on the map’s guidance

Time-on-Site

A field within the Logistics container of the Fulfillment section that allows users to specify how long a team will need to spend at a Waypoint.

My Routes

A page where users can view all Routes assigned to them. This includes:

  • A list of past and upcoming Routes

  • Route details like time-ordered Waypoints, maps, Inventory lists, and project details

Executing a Route

The process of marking each stop on a Route as:

  • Started

  • In-Progress

  • Completed

This provides real-time accountability and progress tracking for Dispatchers and Drivers. This information can also be viewed from the Projects List. Learn more here.

Pinpoint Arrivals

A feature that ensures precise timing for a vehicle’s arrival at a specific Waypoint. It minimizes wait times and enhances coordination with the client or team on-site.

Window Arrivals

Designated time frames within which a vehicle is expected to arrive at a Waypoint. This provides flexibility while ensuring timely service.

Drop List

A detailed list of items to be delivered or picked up at a specific Waypoint. This helps ensure that nothing is overlooked during the Route execution.
