How Project Statuses Work

Project statuses help you track where each event or rental stands in your workflow—from first quote to "Contract Signed".

  • In Standard, you can move a project forward or backward as needed by clicking the current status and selecting the new one.

  • In Lite, statuses change automatically, and manual changes are only available once the client has signed the contract.

⛔️ If you're on Lite and trying to move a project forward before it's been signed, the manual option will be disabled.

How to Manually Change a Project’s Status

  1. Open your project.

  2. Click the current status at the top of the screen (e.g., “Quote Sent”).

  3. Choose the next status from the dropdown menu.

Why Would I Manually Change a Project’s Status?

While many changes happen automatically, there are a few times when you might want to step in and manually update the status, such as:

  • The client signed outside the system (e.g., via printed contract)

  • A signed project was canceled, and you want to move it to “Lost,” which will archive the project.

💡Pro tip: Add the signed version you have (or other approval documentation) to the Files Section in your account.
