Let's say you've marked a chair as a Set Aside from a project because it never made it back.

If you need to remove this chair from your inventory you can head into your Inventory, click 'Set Aides' from the left side of your screen, click the three dots next to the item, click 'Resolve Set Aside', and finally 'Remove from Inventory'.
