Overview

When checking in items through Fulfillment, either on desktop or mobile, Goodshuffle Pro helps you confirm what’s returned to your warehouse and updates your inventory automatically.

However, not all items in a project can be checked in. The ability to check in depends on the type of item and its role in Fulfillment.

Items That Can Be Checked In

1. Inventory Items (Physical Assets)
These are the core items you own, rent out, and physically return after an event.

  • Examples: Chairs, speakers, linens, lighting fixtures, tents, etc.

  • You can check these items in manually, by barcode scan, or through rapid scan mode.

  • Once checked in, their status updates automatically to “Available” for new projects.

2. Packages Containing Inventory
If a package includes check-in–eligible items, checking in the package will check in all physical components.

  • Example: A “Wedding Table Setup” package containing a table, linen, and centerpiece will check in those inventory items together.

  • Note: If a package includes both check-in–eligible and ineligible items, only the eligible ones are updated during check-in.

3. Accessories and Components
Linked accessories or components can also be checked in, provided they are physical inventory.

  • Example: A speaker (main item) with a power cable (accessory) can both be checked in via one scan or action.

Items That Can’t Be Checked In

1. Services
Services, such as delivery, setup, or labor, aren’t physical items and therefore can’t be checked in.

  • These are tracked through Fulfillment stages but are marked complete based on crew activity, not check-in.

3. Package or Pool Wrappers
If an item represents a group of inventory (like a pool or placeholder), it can’t be checked in directly.

  • Only the underlying physical assets pulled from the package or pool can be checked in.

Tips for Smooth Check-In

  • Use the mobile Fulfillment view to scan items quickly when trucks return.

  • If you use barcoding, scanning will instantly check items in and mark their status in real time.

  • Review your Logs for a detailed record of who checked in what and when.
