Why Your Emails Say "via Goodshuffle" in the Sender Name

Learn why quotes and contracts sent from Goodshuffle Pro display "via Goodshuffle" in the sender field - and what it means for your email deliverability.

This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.

When a client receives a quote or contract from you, the sender name will display as "Your Name via Goodshuffle" in their inbox. This is intentional - and it's there to help your emails land where they're supposed to.

Why This Label Exists

Email providers are trained to flag messages where a personal name is paired with a system-generated sending address. This is a common pattern in phishing and spam, so spam filters treat it with suspicion.

Adding "via Goodshuffle" to the sender display name signals to email providers that the message was legitimately sent through a trusted platform on your behalf - which keeps your quotes and contracts out of the spam folder. This label is applied automatically and cannot be turned off.

How It Protects Your Clients

As bad actors become more sophisticated, one increasingly common scam involves impersonating a business to intercept payments. Clients have been tricked into sending ACH payments to fraudulent accounts by someone posing as their event pro.

Keeping all communication - and all payments - within Goodshuffle Pro protects against this. The "via Goodshuffle" label gives your clients a way to verify that a message is genuinely coming through your account. It's also why clients should only submit ACH payments through the Goodshuffle Pro client portal, and why event pros should avoid sharing banking information directly outside of Goodshuffle Pro.

What Your Clients See

Your emails still display your name and business identity. The "via Goodshuffle" label appears alongside it in the sender field - it's a behind-the-scenes trust signal, not a replacement for your branding.

💡 Pro Tip: If a client mentions they can't find a quote or contract you sent, ask them to check their spam folder and mark the email as "Not Spam" to improve future delivery.

Unlock Even Better Deliverability With a Custom Domain

Annual Goodshuffle Pro Standard subscribers get access to Custom Domain setup - one of the most impactful things you can do for your client communication. Sending from your own domain (e.g., [email protected]) strengthens your brand presence in the inbox.
