How to Find Your Google Review Link for Post-Event Emails

Find your Google review link and add it to your automated post-event email so clients can leave a review in one click.

This feature is available on all Goodshuffle Pro Plans.

Your Google review link takes a client straight to the "write a review" box for your business. Add it to your post-event email and every client gets an easy way to leave a review while the event is still fresh.

Before You Start

You need a verified Google Business Profile and owner or manager access to it. Sign in with the Google account that manages your business listing.

Not sure which account that is? Search your business name on Google while signed in. If you see a management panel above your listing, you're in the right account.

Find Your Link on a Computer

  1. Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.

  2. Search your business name on Google. Your management panel appears at the top of the results.

  3. Select "Read reviews," then "Get more reviews."

  4. In the pop-up, select "Copy" to copy your review link.

The link starts with https://g.page/r/ and ends in /review. Paste it somewhere handy, like a note, so it's ready for the next step.

If you manage more than one location, make sure you're on the right one before you copy the link. Google sometimes renames these buttons, so you may see "Ask for reviews" or "Share review form" instead. (Google help)

Find Your Link on Your Phone

  1. Open the Google app or Google Maps, signed in to the account that manages your profile.

  2. Search your business name and open your profile.

  3. Tap "Read reviews," then "Get more reviews" (or "Ask for reviews").

  4. Tap "Copy" to copy the link.

The review QR code can only be downloaded from a computer, but the link works the same from either.

Add the Link to Your Post-Event Email in Goodshuffle Pro

  1. Go to "Messages," then the "Templates" tab.

  2. Open your post-event email template, or create a new one.

  3. Add a short review ask to the body, then paste your Google review link. To keep it clean, highlight a phrase like "Leave us a review" and add the link to that text.

  4. Set the "date anchor" so the email sends after the event, for example one day after the event date.

  5. Select "Save."

That's it. Goodshuffle Pro sends the email automatically for every project that matches the timing you set. Learn more in the Timed Emails release notes and Viewing message templates.

Sample review ask

Thanks again for choosing us for your event, {first name}! If we made your day easier, would you take a minute to leave us a Google review? It helps other planners find us. [Leave us a review]

Tips and Troubleshooting

  • Test the link first. Open it in a private browser window. It should open the review box, not just your Maps listing.

  • Don't see "Get more reviews"? You're likely signed in to the wrong Google account, or your profile isn't verified yet.

  • Keep the ask short. One sentence and one link gets more clicks than a long paragraph.

  • Never offer a discount or freebie for reviews. Google prohibits incentives, and those reviews can be removed. (Google policy)

  • Send it soon after the event. One day after is a good default while the experience is fresh.
