Uploading Your Inventory with Goodshuffle Pro

Doing an inventory upload via CSV? Here's what to expect!

To access this feature, you must be on Goodshuffle Pro Standard or above.

Getting Started with an Inventory Upload

As an annual account, an inventory upload is included with your onboarding (but can be added to a monthly subscription at an additional cost).

If you already have your inventory/data in an Excel or CSV, please send it over to [email protected] to get the process started.

NOTE: The average upload takes 5-7 business days - including time to format, audit, review, edit, and finalize the upload. This timeframe is subject to change based on the number of items.

Filling Out An Inventory Template

Note: Please do not make changes to the template's formatting.

Required Fields

  1. Add in your current inventory names under the "Title" column.

  2. Add your quantity - if you do not track quantity for any reason, leave the field blank for that specific item.

  3. Set the pricing structures for each item - (How should I price my items?)

    1. If the item is unpriced, leave it blank.

Optional Fields

  1. Add any descriptions and/or internal notes to the "Contract Description", "Website Description," and "Internal Notes" columns.

  2. Add tags for customized groupings outside of the default categories .(What are tags?)

    1. If you need tags, let us know and we can add the necessary column.

  3. Add attributes (size, color, material, etc.) to further filter and refine your inventory. (What are attributes?)

Formatting and Auditing

The Goodshuffle Pro team will categorize and audit your inventory. During this time, your sheet will be reviewed in full detail, and the Goodshuffle Pro team may suggest revisions to your sheet prior to upload. The process is as follows:

  1. A data specialist will assign each item to one of the Goodshuffle Pro-defined categories and sub-categories. This will be sent to you for final review.

    1. If you'd like categorization outside of the preset categories, we can set up a column for tags.

    2. If we're uncertain of the proper categorization of an item - we will leave a note.

  2. We'll set your items to be listed on the Goodshuffle Pro Marketplace and on your website (the latter requires the purchase of the Website Wishlist Integration)

  3. We'll discuss if your attributes should be internal OR external.

Photos

Photos can be uploaded only if they are included as live, public links such as from a website or online public cloud (Google Drive and DropBox will not work).

This is most common when exporting inventory from a previous software or a website. When exporting, first test that the image link opens.

Note: Images can be easily added post-upload via copy-paste or drag-and-drop tools.

What cannot be uploaded?

Inventory uploads are for individual items only - packages, services, pools, and logistics can not be uploaded.

After Inventory is Uploaded

Once uploaded, items can be updated/adjusted in Goodshuffle Pro using individual and bulk editing tools. You do not need to ask our team to make changes to your inventory once the upload is complete.

Your onboarding includes only one upload. As you acquire more items, you can easily add them to Goodshuffle Pro using our inventory creator tools.
