To view your messaging history with a client, open up your desired project and select Messages in the upper right hand corner.

Your Message history will appear. Click the drop-down arrow next to the message recipient(s). 

You will now be able to see when the message was delivered and when it was last read.

Alternatively, you can head to your Messages tab, and search for the projects Message thread.
