How can I quickly update an inventory item?

Here is how you can use in-line edits to update your inventory.

Full Users can update their items, packages, and services directly from the Inventory page via in-line editing. This is helpful if you need to make quick edits to an item's quantity, add tags to display products, packages, or services on your website using the Website Integration, or change the attributes associated with an item.

Add the Custom Columns you want to edit to your inventory view to get started. Learn more about the meaning of each Custom Column here. From there, you can click on the value field for an item beneath a Custom Column to edit it.

How can I edit the quantity of an item?

  1. Navigate to your Inventory page

  2. Click on the 'Qty Posted' Custom Column

  3. Enter a new number

  4. Click "Save" to view the updated quantity

How can I edit the price of an item?

  1. Navigate to your Inventory page

  2. Click on the 'Unit Price' Custom Column

  3. Choose the pricing structure you want to update and/or add a new pricing structure

  4. Click "Save"

How can I edit the tags on an item?

  1. Navigate to your Inventory page

  2. Click on the 'Tags' Custom Column

  3. Click on an existing tag after searching for it, or type in a new tag and hit "Enter" on your keyboard

  4. Click "Save"

How can I edit the Attributes for an item?

  1. Navigate to your Inventory page

  2. Add the "Attribute" Custom Column to your inventory view by clicking "Manage Layout"

  3. Type in a value and choose whether to "Show to Clients?" and/or "Show on Pull Sheet?"

  4. Click "Save"

How can I edit the tax type for an item?

  1. Navigate to your Inventory page

  2. Click on the 'Tax Type' Custom Column

  3. Choose a Tax Type

  4. Click "Save"

If you need to use a different Tax Type than currently available, add it to your "Tax Types" in Account Settings. Learn more here.
